…new friends, new ID cards, new photos taken, new access cards, new forms to sign, new buildings to get lost in + new anxieties when it’s revealed in the ‘welcome’ lecture that statistically speaking 10% of the people* sitting in the room won’t finish the course.

My Bonded Medical Place contract arrived today. This is starting to feel very real.

haha, it won’t be you. Welcome aboard, not-so-blonde-C.

    😉

    Hey C,

I read your comment on audaci.net. Sounds like things are off to a good start. Good to hear. I don’t begin until late April – which suits me fine… more opportunity to gather $$$ (okay, okay – pay off debt!) and organise the big move.

…which means you’ll almost be a quarter of the way through your year by the time I start. A QUARTER! (Gees, doesn’t time fly) So, I’ll be very interested to hear how it goes – not only in terms of managing the subject matter, but also the culture and personalities.

I’m well accustomed to being the odd one out in the workplace – I’m curious if that will also be the case at med school? You’re my test case!

very happy to be your test case * C 🙂 So far, so good. they told us in the welcome lecture that 12% of our cohort is non-sci. Woohoo! Represent.

    Thanks, medicallyblonde2!
